ORGANIC BATH OIL
This simple yet luxurious bath oil recipe can be easily adapted to be either relaxing, soothing or invigorating. Make sure to use organic essential oils. Package the bottled oils in a recycled box lined with coloured tissue papers and include some of the ingredients for a rustic finish, or simply tie a length of vintage ribbon around the neck of each bottle.
Materials
- ✽ 50ml (2fl oz) sweet almond oil
Equipment
- ✽ 1 pretty recycled bottle and lid, sterilised
- ✽ Measuring cup
For Relaxing bath oil
- ✽ 10 drops of sandalwood essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of jasmine essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of orange essential oil
For Soothing bath oil
- ✽ 10 drops of rose essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of camomile essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of lavender essential oil
For Invigorating bath oil
- ✽ 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of lemon essential oil
- ✽ 5 drops of juniper essential oil
1. Carefully decant the almond oil from a measuring cup into the sterilised bottle.
2. Add each of the different essential oils, drop by drop, to the almond oil.
3. Screw on the lid firmly and shake the bottle until the ingredients are well blended.
4. Attach a label identifying the oil, with instructions to add 1 tbsp of the oil to a warm bath.
