Ingredients:
- Gammon or ham joint
- Brown sugar
- Maple syrup
- Cinnamon
1. Place your gammon or ham joint in a large pot and cover with water
2. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 2 hours until the meat is tender (this could take longer depending on the size of your ham joint)
3. Remove from pot and dab dry with kitchen paper
4. In a bowl mix your brown sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon (make enough to cover your joint)
5. Let marinade for a couple of hours
6. Pop into an oven proof dish and cook on a low to moderate heat (160-180 degrees) until the ham is warmed through and the marinade has cooked out.
